In the framework of the operational program ‘Education & Lifelong Learning’ of the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning & Religious Affairs, Public Issue has undertaken a nationwide survey of public opinion on lifelong learning. The survey aims to record the views and attitudes of citizens and how well informed they are about lifelong learning. It will also focus on the programs in support of lifelong learning, the needs as well as the institutional and administrative interventions that are considered necessary. Lastly, the survey will address experiences of lifelong learning, inclination to participate in the programs and the learning preferences of the respondents. The program is being co-financed by the European Union.
In a report to the Greek Parliament, the Special Permanent Committee on Environmental Protection cites a survey on quality of life in Athens Municipality which was conducted by Public Issue in 2008 (‘Problems, Living Conditions & Assessment of Athens Municipality’s Performance’).
The committee’s task is to monitor and assess the situation regarding the environment in Greece and the consequences of various activities on it. The committee has an advisory role in decision-making and the formulation of a national strategy for the protection of the environment.
